With the Borderlands 3 releasing date becomes closer and closer more and more details and news have been revealed in recent days. For instance, Gearbox has already rolled out one of the main characters' trailer on July 30, 2019, to help quench your thirst for this game's new details in this summer, and fortunately, the first character trailer is all about Zane (a.k.a the Operative). And this new trailer is named "Friends Like Zane" and it is mainly focused on his backstory and personality, and offers us a brief look at some of his abilities in action.
Back in earlier this year, dataminers discovered what looks like the full Borderlands 3 Zane Flynt skill tree in an old version of the Borderlands 3 Twitch extension, and though his final abilities are subject to change, the abilities which are shown in the trailer certainly line up. And for Zane, a lot of game players may not know too much about him, he is a semi-retired corporate hitman. He is a tricky man, and he has got a lot of gadgets and skills. Here are some examples you can check, like, for the unaware, Zane can equip a second action skill by sacrificing his grenade slot, and many of his passives augment those action skills. He even can summon a digital clone of himself that goes drinking with him (you can watch the video below), place a barrier, or just deploy a sentinel drone. We have seen Zane's shield early on in the trailer, but speaking of his Digi-Clone - which is, his drinking buddy - is the real superstar.
Apart from yesterday's trailer, Gearbox also shared a preview of some of Zane's skills in a blog post. Again, many of these abilities echo the datamined skill tree, but for some specifics still, remain to be seen. And here are a few of the most interesting skills and augments that have already been confirmed:
*Distributed Denial: Zane's Barrier gives the effects of your currently equipped Shield Mod, and this will also benefit allies near the Barrier shield.
*Double Barrel: Ups your DPS (Damage Per Second) by giving your Digi-Clone a copy of Zane's current weapon - and swapping places triggers increased gun damage for you and your Digi-Clone.
*Salvation: After you kill an enemy, Zane's Borderlands 3 guns gain life steal for a few seconds.
*Seein' Red: Sets off all of Zane's Kill Skills any time he activates an Action Skill. If you stagger your Action Skills properly, your overall damage output will be through the roof.
Here is some skills introduction about Zane Flynt, the operative. And now the next thing we are about to discuss is his personality, if you want to know more about him, here it goes - to be exact, Zane Flynt, he is also a massive Irish stereotype — a chatty, charming, and boozing rogue. He's having troubles to make friends, he laments, mostly because he keeps killing people. However, with Borderlands 3 being a co-op romp, he will have to learn how to get well with on people.
Those are skills and personality that Zane has, as well as some other Borderlands 3 items he owns in the game, and later on, Moze, Amara, and FL4K will each get their own character profile and skills pretty soon.
Borderlands 3 is about to launch very soon. You'll be able to get your hands on it on September 13 on the Epic Games Store and April 2020 elsewhere.
